About BSIC

Bangladesh's national, bank-backed venture platform.

Bangladesh Startup Investment Company PLC (BSIC) is the country's national venture investment platform. Its inaugural vehicle — ONKUR, Bangladesh Fund I — is a USD 35 million pool of institutional capital from 39 commercial banks, launched in May 2026.

BSIC operates as a commercially governed investment institution with an independent Investment Committee, deploying alongside global venture capital firms into Bangladesh's most ambitious startups.

The Role

Programs that move companies forward.

The Program Manager is the execution engine behind BSIC's portfolio support, ecosystem partnerships, and stakeholder programming. The role sits within BSIC's Business Development and Ecosystem function, reporting to the Head of Ecosystem Development.

The Program Manager translates strategy into structured activity across portfolio companies, partner organisations, and external stakeholders — and works closely with the investment team to ensure program outputs feed directly into deal sourcing and portfolio value creation.

What You'll Do

01 — Portfolio Program Management
  • Design and deliver structured support programs for portfolio companies covering growth planning, fundraising preparation, and milestone management — with clear success metrics and accountability at each stage.
  • Track portfolio company performance against agreed KPIs and produce regular progress reports for the MD and Investment Committee.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio founders on operational matters, connecting them to resources and networks.
  • Coordinate board observer and information rights administration, ensuring reporting obligations are met on schedule.
02 — Ecosystem Partnership and Program Development
  • Own and manage formal partnerships with accelerators, incubators, university programs, and startup competitions — tracking engagement quality and ensuring partnerships deliver measurable pipeline value.
  • Coordinate and run BSIC-led programs including workshops, bootcamps, and investor readiness sessions that strengthen Bangladesh's startup pipeline.
  • Liaise with government bodies including ICT Division, iDEA, and Startup Bangladesh to support program alignment with national innovation policy.
  • Manage program calendars, budgets, vendor relationships, and logistics from initiation through post-program evaluation.
03 — Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with ecosystem partners including accelerators, incubators, DFIs, and development organisations to keep engagements on track.
  • Support the Head of Ecosystem Development in executing the diaspora engagement program by coordinating events, managing invitations, and following up on introductions.
  • Prepare briefs, presentations, and one-pagers for stakeholder meetings and ensure the investment team is well-prepared for external engagements.
  • Represent BSIC at ecosystem events, demo days, and partner forums to cultivate BSIC's institutional presence.
04 — Investment Pipeline Support
  • Drive structured deal sourcing through ecosystem outreach and program relationships, maintaining a live CRM pipeline with context on each company and flagging investment-ready opportunities to the investment team on a cadenced basis.
  • Coordinate the Investment Advisory Committee review process for pipeline companies including scheduling, materials preparation, and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing sector maps, landscape analyses, and ecosystem briefings to sharpen BSIC's view of emerging opportunities.
05 — Communications and Reporting
  • Manage BSIC's external communications calendar, coordinating announcements, program launches, and thought leadership outputs.
  • Draft and edit external-facing documents including partner briefs, program reports, and institutional communications.
  • Prepare periodic internal reports on program performance and stakeholder engagement for the MD and Board.
Who You Are

You have the operational discipline to hold complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams together without losing quality or accountability. You bring a track record of delivering programs at scale, not just coordinating them, and you understand how ecosystems, founders, and institutional capital interact.

Background

  • 2 to 4 years in ecosystem development, accelerator management, program management, or a senior operator role at a growth-stage startup or DFI.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering programs with measurable commercial or institutional outcomes — not just activity.
  • Deep familiarity with Bangladesh's startup and investment ecosystem; has existing relationships with founders, operators, and institutional stakeholders.

Operating Style

  • Strong execution instincts and the discipline to drive multiple programs to completion without losing quality or accountability.
  • Experience across multi-stakeholder environments: government bodies, development partners, corporates, and startups.
  • High integrity and the judgement to separate activity from impact and prioritise accordingly.

Ecosystem Fluency

  • First-hand understanding of how ecosystems, founders, and institutional capital interact in frontier markets — does not need this explained.
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity about startups and capital markets.
  • Exceptional communicator and relationship builder across government, development partners, founders, and global investors.

Language

  • Bengali proficiency essential for local market and founder engagement.
  • Strong English required for partner communications, reports, and institutional stakeholder engagement.
